A comforting casserole made with seasoned ground beef, vegetables, and a creamy mashed potato topping, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes

 

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Sauté onion in olive oil, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Stir in tomato paste, broth, and vegetables. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to a baking dish and spread mashed potatoes on top.

 

  • Bake for 20 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Substitute ground beef with ground lamb for a traditional version.

 

  • Add shredded cheese on top for extra flavor.
