Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients: In the Instant Pot, combine the black beans, onion, garlic, bell pepper, diced tomatoes, broth, cumin, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  2. Cook: Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes. Allow natural pressure release for 15 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  3. Blend (Optional): For a creamier texture, use an immersion blender to partially blend the soup, leaving some beans whole for texture.
  4. Season: Stir in lime juice and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
