  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Chickpeas: Rinse and drain the chickpeas, then pat them dry with a paper towel. Removing excess moisture will help them get crispier.
  3. Season: In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
  4. Roast: Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-30 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
