- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of flour, softened butter, powdered sugar, and salt until crumbly. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Prepare the Filling: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Bake: Pour the lemon filling over the baked crust and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool and Dust: Allow the lemon bars to cool in the pan. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar, cut into squares, and serve chilled or at room temperature.
