- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time until well combined.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Stir in Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Scoop and Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool: Remove from the oven and let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
