
Tuna Melt
A classic tuna salad sandwich topped with melted cheese, grilled to golden perfection. A quick and comforting lunch option.

- 2 slices of bread
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the drained tuna with mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the tuna mixture evenly on one slice of bread. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and close the sandwich with the second slice of bread.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
- Substitutions:
- Use sliced cheese instead of shredded for convenience.
- Add diced celery or pickles to the tuna mixture for extra crunch.
- Storage: Best served fresh, but you can refrigerate the tuna mixture in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
